Our Journey to Becoming a Cambridge English Authorized Exam Centre
At Leeds International School, we have always prioritized providing high-quality education and empowering our students for global success. For the past eight years, we have proudly operated as a Cambridge English Preparation Centre, helping students prepare for globally recognized Cambridge English exams. This experience has strengthened our role in advancing language proficiency and academic excellence.
In 2023, we took a significant step forward by applying to become an official Cambridge English Authorized Exam Centre. After a thorough evaluation process, we are proud to announce that we received our authorization in the same year. This achievement allows us to offer students direct access to Cambridge English exams right at our school, reinforcing our commitment to providing world-class educational opportunities.
To mark this milestone, we hosted a launch event on 21st July 2023 at Jie Jie Beach Hotel, Panadura, with esteemed guests from Cambridge and local dignitaries. The event was a celebration of our new status and the exciting opportunities it brings to our students.
In a further step toward enriching our educational offerings, we are proud to announce that from September 2024, we will be extending the Cambridge English exam opportunities to all students across our school network. Students can now learn Cambridge English in their classrooms and seamlessly sit for their exams at our own Cambridge English Authorized Exam Centres. This integration provides a unique advantage, enabling them to consolidate their learning and assess their progress in a familiar setting.
Our team of highly qualified and well-trained teachers plays a key role in this success. With their expertise and dedication, our educators are equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to prepare students for the rigorous standards of Cambridge English exams. Their continuous professional development ensures that they remain at the forefront of the latest teaching methodologies, providing students with the best possible guidance throughout their learning journey.
To celebrate our students' achievements, we also conduct awarding ceremonies after each exam session. These ceremonies provide a platform to honor our students' hard work and success, celebrating their accomplishments with their families, teachers, and peers. It’s a moment of pride and recognition for all involved.
